South East Regional Emergency Services Authority Dispatch Hiring Process:
The South East Regional Emergency Services Authority (SERESA) is recruiting to establish a 2021 eligibility list for future openings for Emergency Telecommunicators (911 Dispatchers). Candidates who successfully complete all portions of the examination and interview (s) will be rank-ordered on an eligibility list that will be valid until the next list is established. The top candidates on the list will be considered by the Department for the final screening and hiring process when openings occur.
DATES TO REMEMBER: In order to prepare for the process, please note these dates:
- Application closing date: 4:00pm, November 20th, 2020
- Mandatory Orientation (held via Zoom) for all eligible applicants: Week of December 7th
- Tentative testing date for eligible applicants: Week of December 14th
- Interview dates for eligible applicants: 1st week of 2021

Applicants will be notified via email of his/her eligibility along with additional details of process.
Minimum qualifications include the ability to commit to working 12 hour rotating shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime. Basic criminal history checks will be conducted prior to orientation. A prior criminal history may be a disqualifier depending on content. An active warrant will disqualify applicant.

- Applicants must pass a comprehensive police background check.
- Public Safety Dispatching experience preferred but not necessary.
- Applicant must present a minimum education level equal of a valid high school diploma or GED.
- Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and be able to legally work in the United States.

$21.0324/hour Full Time plus health and life insurance package after waiting period.
$16.7581/hour Part Time with time off benefits after waiting period.
